It feels like a lot of poetry is packed into the next 10 days, giving everyone a chance to partake as the seasons shift gears. We are going to get right into it.

Saturday Dec 14, 5pm Salt Pruning launch with (co-authors) former SC Poet Laureate David Sullivan and Chicago poet Ignatius Valentine Aloysius; I (Farnaz) will read as part of this book celebration. Cabrillo Horticulture Center.
Tuesday Dec 17, 7pm Inter|Act Spoken Word Open Mic At Satori an artist space, 815 Almar, Unit 9, Santa Cruz. Featured readers will be Ignatius Valentine Aloysius & David Sullivan.
Tuesdays Dec 14 & Dec 21 1pm Magdalena Montagne leads Community Poetry Circles in December. No registration required; come write poems under Magdalena’s guidance. December 14 at the Capitola Library from 1:00-3:00 p.m. December 21 at the Felton Library from 1:00-3:00 p.m.
Every Monday: Santa Cruz Poetry Project welcomes anyone who would like to establish a writing practice in a safe and encouraging environment. No registration required. Takes place every Monday, 4:00 – 5:30 PM at the Life Literacies Center, Downtown Santa Cruz Library, 224 Church St.
